How to Order
Customize your own Made to Order collar!
This page will explain all the options you can select to truly make a collar your own.
If this sounds too involved, consider the Order a Copy section - order exactly what you see in your size, simply.
1. Measure your dog's neck
Use a tape measure to measure your dog's neck where the collar would sit. Do not measure a collar laid flat. Select this measurement as the middle of the size range, and round up if it's between sizes. This will give you pricing information.
Collars will typically have a 3" (8cm) range of adjustment holes, spaced every 1/2" (12mm). Smaller collars can have a 2" range of adjustment holes.
Collars are measured based on their internal circumference, buckled as though on your dog's neck.
2. Select your collar width
3. Decide whether you'd like a border or not.
Adding a border to any collar increases width by 1/2" (12mm), and increases price.
4. Select your BioThane colour(s):
Widths UP to 1.5" (38mm) are available in ALL colours
2" (50mm) is available in:
Black, Brown, White, Teal, Purple, Blue, Neon Green, Red, Orange, Yellow, Neon Pink, Hot Pink, Pastel Pink
2.5" (63mm) is available in:
Black, White
5. Select a design from the relevant Width page:
1/2" (12mm) -- 1" (25mm) -- 1.5" (38mm) -- 2"+ (50mm)
6. Select a crystal colour scheme
Either from the options listed on the design's page, the options shown below, or the Inspirations page
7. Select your hardware colour
The buckle, D-ring and rims around the crystals will all be this same colour.
Silver is Stainless Steel where possible, and Nickel otherwise. All Gold is solid brass. All Black is coated steel or coated brass - the coating will eventually rub off, though this typically takes years for most dogs.
8. Select your taper option
Tapers exist to reduce the size and weight of the buckle and D-ring hardware on your collar. This allows smaller dogs to comfortably wear wider collars.
9. Place your order
After the order is placed, it goes into the order queue. Current production time (which includes queue time) is usually listed as an announcement at the top of the website.
Once your order is up, I create the layout - which is typically the BioThane cut to size, buckle attached, and crystals laid out but not set with rims yet - and send you photos for approval. You can make changes to the collar at this stage.
Once you approve the layout, no more changes are possible and the collar goes into full production.
